Note from the Age Groups
11/16/09
Stroke development and Level 1 swimmers continue to impress us at every practice.  Our shallow end swimmers in the stroke development group are doing a great job of getting their faces wet and jumping in the deep end.  Their front crawl strokes and back floats are very impressive as well.  The rest of the stroke development swimmers continue to work on building up their endurance to swimming lengths of the pool backstroke and freestyle in order to eventually move into our Level 1 group.  Level 1 swimmers have done a great job of morphing into two separate groups on an everyday occurrence.  We have split our Level 1 guys and gals into two groups.  One group is a group that continues to work on stroke progression and development as we swim lengths of the pool.  The other group is focusing on endurance in addition to stroke technique as they are working their way into Level 2.  We are very proud of those swimmers that appear ready for Level 2 and we’d like to congratulate them on their extra efforts at practice!  Stay tuned for information on the Holiday Balloon Meet!

So it seems that the sickness bug have finally left our Level 2 group. We’ve started to see some new faces and its great to see them. The swimmers have been swimming in a meet or two and the Neumann League Championships so we’ve been focusing a lot on how to race and remembering to do streamline, pullouts, and everything else in our races! We’ve seen great some great races the last couple of meets and can’t wait to see whats next!
