Year-end Achievement Awards
Guidelines
At the end of each
season during our annual banquet we recognize our swimmers for
their achievements during the year.
MVP Award(Outstanding
Swimmer)
This swimmer is recognized as the fastest, strongest
swimmer in their age group. An award is given to one male and one
female in each group.
Coach’s
Award
This swimmer is recognized for portraying the most
positive qualities of leadership, commitment, positive and friendly
attitude, attendance and coach-ability. An award is given to one
male and one female in each group.
Best Times
Award
After the first swim of the season the total number
of each swimmers "best times" are counted. This award goes to the
top 10% of swimmers from each age group, both male and
female.
Improvement
Award
This award is derived by considering the first swim
of each stroke minus the very best swim of that stroke during the
season. All stroke improvements are totaled. The top 20% of each
age group, both male and female, are recognized. Swimmers who have
received an MVP, Coach’s or A Best Times Award are ineligible
for this award.
Fundraiser
Award
The top 5 swimmers, regardless of age group or
fundraising event, that raised the most money over their annual
fundraising goal.
