The second level of PAC’s
age group program designed for swimmer’s with some swimming
experience (at least one year experience or the equivalent).
Swimmers are expected to have the ability to do the backstroke,
breaststroke, butterfly and 200 yards of freestyle. Swimmers will
focus on learning basic drills and will refine technique while
being introduced to training sets (interval training). Ages
8- 11.
Goals: Basic use
of pace clock (for interval training and safe spacing of swimmers).
The ability to complete a legal 200 IM (good strokes and legal
turns). 5 X 100 free on a 2:15 sendoff. Attend in- house meets and
age/ level appropriate meets (per coaches’ recommendation)
while becoming knowledgeable of best times and improvement. Dry
land and goal setting will be introduced.
Practices: 60-90
