This page is for all open water
events coming into the PNS Office. Some will be
sanctioned USA Swimming events from various LSCs, some will be
local non sanctioned open water events. PNS sanctioned
events will also be listed on the Meets page and the
PNS calendar.

Bellingham Masters Swim Club is hosting its annual Lake Padden Open
Water Swim on Saturday, August 1. This is the first year we
are opening the event to age group swimmers age 13-18 for a 2.5K
loop.

| Brent Rice Memorial Swim of the
Sound,
Saturday August 22,
2009.The swim is a 2.3
mile journey in fifty degree water, from the Des Moines Beach Park
to Point Robinson on Maury Island. The first year eight made the
plunge, last years swim we doubled our number of swimmers and this
year we would like to have as many adventurous athletes possible
join us in our quest to Swim the Sound.

PNS is hoping to get our swimmers out to these clinics to
experience open water swimming! Scott Lautman, PNS Open Water
Committee Chair will be on hand to help out and answer questions
our PNS swimmers might have. This is an excellent chance
to get into open water swimming if you have not done this
before. This is not a PNS sanctioned clinic it is open
to the public.
