SWIM LESSONS FOR ADULTS & SENIORS!

BAC offers year-round lesson opportunities for Adults & Seniors who are interested in learning to swim and/or perfecting their swim technique. We believe that it is never too late to become a swimmer, and we are here to help you reach your goals!

Swim Lesson Levels

Adult Beginner  (Conquer Your Fear) (18yrs +)

For those comfortable floating with their face in the water. Water Orientation; Safety Skills; Develop Breath Control; Develop Flotation Skills-front and back; Introduction to Unassisted Swimming; Development of Crawl and Backstroke; Introduction to Side Breathing.

Adult Intermediate (18yrs +)

For those who are comfortable swimming unassisted for several yards. Safety strokes are taught early to develop stroke and kicking fundamentals. Students learn flutter kick and alternating stroke techniques. By the end of this level, students will be able to swim 25 yards freestyle, 15 yards backstroke, and 15 yards breaststroke. Refine mechanics and timing of strokes, kicking and coordinating breathing. This class will also introduce Dolphin kick, streamlining, flip-turns, open turns, and push off techniques. 

Adult Advanced (18yrs +)

Students are expected to have the endurance to swim 100 yards of any stroke and be able to swim for 30 minutes with breaks, if necessary. Skills for the four competitive strokes are refined, and stamina is built through an understanding of workout designs and executing efficient flip-turns.
