Accomplishments
Some of CCA’s accomplishments include:
- Numerous Far Western Age Group qualifiers and several
Western Zone All Star Championship qualifiers - four
swimmers competed on the Sierra Nevada Swimming All Star team in
2000.
- Numerous Junior National Championship qualifiers - ten
swimmers competed at the Junior National Championships in
2000, CCA was the first place Women’s team in 1996 and the
first place team overall in 1995.
- Several Senior National qualifiers - seven swimmers
competed at Nationals in 1999.
- Olympic Trials qualifiers - three swimmers qualified
for the 2000 Olympic Trials and Randall Bal placed 3rd in
the 100 Backstroke.
- CCA swimmers have competed on US Goodwill Games,
World Games, and National teams.
- 1992 Olympic Champion, Summer Sanders
- 1992 Assistant Olympic Coach, Mike Hastings
- Over 80% of the swimmers who have progressed through the
program have received scholarships to various universities and
colleges throughout the United States.
