2017 Welcome Letter
Hello York Parents!
Summer is over, school has begun and the 2017-2018 YORK Swim season is just around the corner. Whether you are new to YORK or a seasoned parent, please consider becoming an official. PVS meets are entirely run by volunteer officials. PVS is constantly trying to make the process of becoming an official more convenient. Currently, you can take online clinics for 2 positions: Stroke & Turn and Electronic Timing System Operator. For more information, click HERE.
As your Officials Chair, I am here to help you navigate the process of becoming an official. I promise to be honest about the pros and cons of each position and help you find the one that is best for you. I hope will you consider joining our great community of volunteer officials this season. The process of becoming an official is not difficult. To assist you, I have created How to Become a Potomac Valley Official: A Step by Step Guide. It is posted on YORK’s website under the “Officials Information” Tab so that you can reference it at any time.
I will be at the YORK Parents Night on Sunday, September 10, at Providence Recreation Center, from 5-6pm, to answer any questions. Look for me- I will be the one wearing the PVS Officials uniform (white top/navy bottoms). If you cannot attend, please feel free to call (571-521-9025) or email me (email@example.com) at any time with your questions and -concerns.
