Senior Competition

Coach: Jorge Silva(email

Overview: The Senior Competition program is the premier group within the Hydro-Sonic organization. Swimmers in this group have chosen swimming as their primary form of extra curricular activity with aims at making top level regional and national meets. As part of the Senior Competition group athletes will continue to focus on stroke technique as well as more intensive workouts in order to acheive the groups overall goals.

Swimmers are expected to make a minimum of 5 practices per week and both dryland practices. Making all practices per week is HIGHLY recommended. In addition all swimmers in the Senior Competition program are expected to attend all PVS meets that TIBU participates in. Swimmers will be expected to train consistently through the season in order to attain their personal goals. This group will take any swimmer 15-18 ready to make the sacrifice required to train at a high level. Swimmers who cannot meet the commitment level of this program should instead enroll in our Senior Prep group.

Target Meet(s): Regional/National Level is the goal of this group (Sectionals/Nationals)

Meetings: Swimmers will meet with the coach 3 times per season to go over goals, reevaluations, and general communication.

Nutrition: Swimmers will be given literature on what is neccasary to reach peek performance as well as monthly tips on nutrition.

Goals: Swimmers enrolling in this group should have a set of detailed seasonal goals they wish to achieve before training begins. This will help focus the swimmers throughout the season.
