2013 Tennis Team Coaching Staff

Kevin Kniestedt

Tennis Team Head Coach

Kevin has been a tennis coach for 16 years. He has been the head tennis coach at GSSC since 1997, and the team has gone on to win several league championships. Kevin has also been the head tennis coach for Green River Community College as well as Renton High School. He was a varsity letterman in NCAA competition at Whitworth University in Spokane and has won several tournaments. “It is important for me to have the kids who play not only learn the game of tennis, but for it to be one of the highlights that will always be in the forefront of their minds when they reflect on their summer. It is important to create an environment where players can bond and take pride in their club.”

Tennis Team Assistant Coach

I have been a member at Gregory Seahurst since I was 7 years old and started playing on the tennis team when I was nine. This will be my third year being the assistant tennis coach and my fifth teaching tennis lessons at GSSC. I played varsity tennis all four years of high school and played for GSSC until last summer. I was a state competitor, Seamount League champion two years in a row, and ranked 32^ndin the USTA Pacific Northwest in 2009. I now attend the University of Washington where I play on the club tennis team. This year I want kids on the team to try their hardest, have fun, and learn how to be competitive while making friends and having team spirit. I want the kids to look up to me and I look forward to having a fun, memorable summer with them.
