FUND RAISING COMMITTEE
Fund raising
Committee meetings will be held on the first Monday
of every month at 6:00 p.m. on deck. We are
looking for parents to help coordinate the various fund raising
opportunities.
FUND RAISING REQUIREMENT
The 2009-2010 fund
raising requirement is $120 per swimmer to a maximum of $250 per
family with four or more swimmers. Credit
towards the requirement will be received from the actual profit to
the team. For example, a web sponsorship at
$99 will receive a $99 fund raising credit as the team receives
100% of that donation. Sales of $400 of See’s Candies
may profit approximately $40 to the team. The fund raising
credit for this type of participation will be the $40 profit for
the team (not the $400 in sales).
The team needs fund
raising income on an ongoing basis to reach its goals. We
encourage all families to start your fund raising efforts
today.
FUND RAISING GOALS
The primary goal of
the fund raising committee is to support Riverside Aquatics
swimmers’ and their needs to include rewards, awards, and
positive reinforcement throughout the
season. Additionallythe committee will aim to
continually purchase training equipment and fund training
opportunities.
Another
priority for the fund raising committee is to improve our
concession stand at our home swim meets. RAA needs various
food service equipment, such as an industrial grill, generator,
heating and serving equipment, large coolers, portable carts, and
folding tables.
