The letter of intent is
available for the 2008 Western Zone team. The zone team will be
traveling to Greshem, Oregon this year for the Western Zone
Championships.
We will be using a time based selection process. Please review
the time standards
and the selection process used to select the team.
If you are selected to the team, an Emergency Medical form and an Honor Code
must be submitted to the head
coach Ray Weiser or
team
manager Cathy Wieser 707/396-7940 before you will be allowed depart on the trip to
Gresham.
Please either submit completed copies
with your letter of intent or submit at the Junior Olympics in
Redding. Swimmers will not be allowed to travel without both
forms.
Please submit your letters to Ray Weiser, either to his house
address (430 Three Rivers Ct., Vacaville, CA 95688) before
Tuesday, July 22, or submit them at the Sierra Nevada Junior
Olympics before noon Saturday, July 26.
To defray costs, each swimmer selected will be asked to contribute
an amount not to exceed $650.00. Swimmers will
receive a team uniform as part of thier contribution.
Travel information will be released as it becomes available.
The team will be leaving on Monday, August 4th and returning
Sunday, August 10th. Hotel accommodations, meals and snacks are
included.
Coaches: Ifyou are interested in coaching this year, please
email Ray Weiser at yzers@sbcglobal.net by Friday, May 30,
2008.
Parents--If you are interested in being a chaperone for the
zone trip, please submit a chaperone application to
Dennis Hooten at DSHooten@sbcglobal.net before July 26.
The team also brings at least one official to the Zone meet. If you
are interested in officiating at the Zones, one of the premier age
group meets, please contact Bill Rose at cbrose@omsoft.com for
more info. You must have national
certification.
