Team Towels

Earning Your Fort Hood Dolphins Towel

The towel is a motivator! It's a way to show pride in our team and to draw interest of others who may like to join our team. We encourage the swimmers to bring their towels to all the meets.

Swimmers earn their towels by:

Swimming for a full season (verified by having paid dues continuously).

  • The season starts with the first meet, and ends with end of Course Meets.
  • May – July is long course season. September – February is the short course.
  • The skipped months are treated as bonus months – for kids to pick up meets if they haven't attended three.

           AND

Swimming three meets during the season.

  • We have included sanctioned meets, unsanctioned meets, and our own mini-meets.
  • The number of meet participation is verified by the Treasurer or the Meet Entry Chair.
  • For verification purposes, having paid for the meet is considered swimming the meet.

OR:

Active, paid membership to the team for one year.

  • New towels are awarded with the dolphin centerpiece, the swimmers first name on one end and the season it was awarded on the other (with any championship level meet competed in).
  • Once a swimmer has earned the towel, it becomes a chronological record of their active participation on the team.
  • The towels are collected and updated with the additional seasons and year (with any championship level competed in, as well as unique accomplishments – zone team, all-star, etc.) This is subject to change, reference the by-laws.
  • Replacement of lost towels is the responsibility of the swimmers and/or their parents
