Dear SPA team members,

You may have noticed for about a week now a new button appearing beside some
of the Events/Meets called Job Signup. Fianlly, you are going to be able to use it!

Job signup is a very exciting feature of the website that allows members to sign up for those extremely important volunteer positions for our events/meets, as well as the food and drinks that are needed for the event/meet. We are currently testing this feature for the jobs for the upcoming Swim-a-thon, which will be held on October 28th from 4-8 p.m. at Club Sienna. The Job Signup button for the Swim-a-thon is now active & jobs are now open for you to review & select. The Swim-a-thon Job Signup will also include the food and drink items that will need to donated (listed by practice group) to make this event fun for the swimmers. In order to make the Swim-a-thon a success we need many parent volunteers - every family will need to participate in this team activity.

To signup is very simple. First, sign in to the SPA website. Second, go to
the Events/Meets page. Scroll down to the Swim-a-thon and click on the Jobs
Signup button. Review all of the choices which are in alphabetical order -
please note we have made the jobs into 1 hour blocks (of course, you can
sign up for more than one time slot!) When you find the job that you want to
do, simply click the box in front of the job & click the signup button. A
box will appear asking you to confirm the choice. After you have completed
your selections, you can print up a listing of your jobs for that event/meet
to use the day of the event. Remember, for the Swim-a-thon, food and drink
assignments are posted by practice group - please remember to signup for
that item, too!

For all events/meets with job signups on the website, once the job signup is activated, it is first come/first serve on the jobs - so signup early!!!

Later this week, we will have job signup for timing for the FCST 11-14 Open meet that is occurring this weekend. Again, an e-mail will go out to all announcing the activation of the timing job signup for this meet.
