BASICS
Q. When does the fundraiser start?
A. September 1, 2009.
 
Q. When does it end?
A. All recipes and pre-orders are due October 15, 2009.
 
Q. How big is the cookbook?
A. Approximately 5 x 8
 
A. Why should I buy a cookbook?
Q. Support the BASS Team, makes a great gift, it’s unique, it’s geared to swimmers and athletes.
 
A. When will the cookbooks be delivered?
Q. All pre-sale orders will be delivered December 10, 2009.
 
DELIVERY
A. What if I need more cookbooks after December 15 deadline.
Q. BASS will order additional cookbooks for sale at home meets, and swim-a-thon.
 
SUBMITTING RECIPES
Q. How do I submit a recipe?
A. Go to typensave.com and login with your name/ login: basscookbook/ password: dxa74
 
Q. How many recipes can I submit?
A. Eight per family. Max 2 per person.
Max two per category.
 
Q. Can we have more than 1 of the same recipe?
A. We can have two or three of the same type of recipe but will change the titles if needed and as long as they are not identical we can use each recipe.
 
Q. Will all recipes submitted be used?
A. It is up to the committee and Board to determine if a recipe fits the theme and purpose of the cookbook.

Q. What are the categories or cookbook sections

Q. What is included in the cookbook?
A. 6 sections/categories, cover, sponsor pages, table of contents, index, tip sheets, cooking reminders, baking tips, 250 recipes, swimmer tip page, swimmers exercise/training guide, re-order form.
 
MONEY AND ORDER BASICS
Q. How much does each cookbook cost?
A. We are charging $15 for each book.
 
Q. Is there tax of shipping added to the $15.
A. No $15 covers tax and shipping to BASS.
 
Q. Are there bulk discounts?
A. Yes for every 10 you sell you earn a free cookbook
 
Q. When do I collect the money for the cookbooks?
A. When a person places an order they pay you at the time the order is placed.
 
Q. How many cookbooks can I pre-order?
A. Has many as you can! No limit! All paid orders have to be in by October 15, 2009.
 
Q. How do I take pre-orders?
A. Sell your cookbooks to everyone you can. You must submit paid orders. Your order form is per family/swimmer so one order form per family will list all pre-sales, and include a check for all pre-sales.
 
Q. How much is shipping on each book?
A. We receive the cookbook order all at once and the price of shipping is included in the $15 for the book. We can not ship directly to someone out of town, that is the responsibility of the seller/swimmers family.
 
Q. Who do they make checks payable too?
A. Checks are made payable to BASS Swimming.
 
Q. Who do the checks and order form go to?
A. Checks and 1 order form per family goes to Kirstine Sigloh by October 15.
 
VOLUNTEER POINTS /FUNDRAISING CREDIT
Q. Can I earn BASS Fundraising Credit?
A. Yes! You can earn the most credit for Sponsor Pages. Sponsor pages are $150 for the Sponsor for a full-page insert in the cookbook. You will earn $50 towards your Fundraiser Credit of $150.
 
You can earn fundraising credit for selling cookbooks too.
1-2 cookbooks can earn $3
3-5 earn $10
6-8 cookbooks earn $20 etc…
21 + cookbooks earn $70
 
Q. Can I earn Volunteer Points too?
A. Yes, 1-3 Recipes earn 2 pts (total)
     Submit 5 Recipes and earn 4 pts
 
Q. Q. What will the money go towards that is raised from the cookbook sales?
A. Bass swim team will take the funds to support home meets and pool fee’s.
 
MISC.
Q.  How much will the cookbooks be on sell for at the home meets?
A.  At this time we anticipate the books will sell for $15 at home meets as well.
 
Q. Why doesn’t the cookbook have sections for bread, soups, or desserts?
A. We wanted the cookbook to focus on healthy, quick, athletes in mind recipes. We were limited to 7 categories or sections.
 
Q. When does the Cover Design contest end?
A. October 15 is the last day to submit entries. For more details on entry requirements email Kirstine at ksiglohvadeca@gamil.com
 
Q. Who selects the winning design for the cover and back sheet?
A. The BASS Board of Directors  AND COOKBOOK COMMITTEE members will select the winning designs.
 
Q. What does the winner(s) get?
A. A free copy of the cookbook.
 
Q. Am I required to buy 1 cookbook?
A. No, no-one is under any obligation to purchase a cookbook.
 
SPONSOR PAGES
Q. Who can be on the Sponsor page?
A. Any company, organization, business, that supports BASS and it’s mission. The fee required is $150 per page.
 
Q. Where are the Sponsor pages?
A. Sponsor pages are in the back of the cookbook.
 
Q. Do I earn Fundraising Credit for securing the Sponsor Page?
A. Yes! $125 dollars!
 
Q. Can a sponsor create their own page?
A. Yes, but they need to work with the requirements and specs.
 
Q. Can a two sponsors spilt one page.
A. Yes.
 
Q. Can a sponsor have more than one page
A. Yes
 
Q. Can someone design the Sponsor page for a sponsor?
A. Yes, Kirstine can help design a page for the sponsor for free.
 
Q. How many sponsor pages are there?
A. We can have up to 7.
