SCRIP Program

Thank you to all those families who have participated in the Scrip program so far this season! Here are the next few order deadlines so you can plan ahead on your Scrip orders with the Holidays fast approaching (an easy way to get credit towards your FFO!):

November’s deadline will be Monday, November 2 with orders arriving around the 9th.
December’s deadline will be Friday, December 4 with orders arriving around the 11th.
**I may place more than one Dec. order if we have interest.
If you have a big purchase coming up (for example, we bought a new oven last winter and ordered scrip to pay for it), let me know and I can place a special order if appropriate.

As a reminder, the Scrip program allows families to purchase gift cards for many different businesses, and the discount the team receives from the orders (the discounts are displayed next to the denominations for each retailer) will be applied to your Family Fundraising Obligation (FFO). It is a great way to decrease your FFO while spending the same amount of money that you were going to use at that business anyway.

Please visit www.glscrip.com and click on the "Retailer List" on the left hand side of the home page. There are hundreds of retailers to choose from. Please note the denominations (face value) from each store as they all vary; also the list changes frequently (new retailers, others discontinued, and others that may have changed denominations or discount percentages).

TO PLACE AN ORDER: Please include in your order a list of the retailers and the desired denominations along with a check payable to STAT in a sealed envelope. Please place your order in the Chapple folder in the STAT box at Woodlands or you can turn in your orders to me directly (11 New Bedford Ct. --just off Mine Rd. in Hampton Oaks).

Shoppers Food Warehouse and Bloom are ordered separately. I must have a minimum order (Shoppers--$2,000; Bloom $500) to place these orders. Last month we did not have enough interest to order Bloom but we scraped together a Shoppers order. Both discounts are 5%. Shoppers seems to have changed their policy--they used to give back cash for the certificates but now are putting the balance on gift cards for you to use later. The Shoppers are available in $10s, $25s, $50s, and $100s.. Bloom cards are available in $25, $50, and $100 denominations. Again, I can only put in a Shoppers or Bloom order if I have enough interest to meet the minimum.
