Masters Information

Elmbrook Masters is a fun and competitive swim team.  We have about 40 members, and practice at the Brookfield High School pools as well as at Wirth Aquatic Center in Brookfield.  We have two "seasons" per year; September-April is our indoor "short course" season, and May-August is our outdoor "long course" season. Registration is formally run in September and in April, with preference given to current team members.  

Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  You can check the practice schedule to see when we practice under the Schedules tab on this website.  (M-W-6:30-8:00 means that Masters practices at Wirth at 6:30PM.  C=Central HS and E=East HS). In addition, we have practices three mornings per week in the summer. Our team is coached by Fred Russell and the Elmbrook Coaching Staff.  

Competition: Our team regularly participates in Wisconsin, regional and national swim meets.  In addition, many members participate in open water swimming competitions.  While willingness to participate in meets is not an absolute prerequisite, we are a competitive swim team and most members find this a very rewarding aspect of the program.
