The HYCAT @
Charleston, Inc Swimming Program organizes & supervises the
Greater Kanawha Valley Summer Swimming League which is a group
of local public and private summer swim clubs/pools that
compete in a 5 week dual meet schedule from mid-June thru
mid-July and concludes with the Annual Greater Kanawha Valley
summer Swimming Championships (aka "The City Meet") in late
July.
The 17 swim teams are divided into 3 Divisions based upon
the size of the club and level of competition. Each club
competes against the other clubs within their division in Dual Swim
Meets held on Wednesdays during the summer months of June &
July. The 2010 Annual City Meet will be held Wed-Sat, Jul
21st-24th @ the University of Charleston’s indoor 25y
facility. Age groups for the City Meet are: 6-Unders; 7-8;
9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18 & Senior/19-OV.
There are 5 individual events offered plus a freestyle relay.
Swimmers may enter all individual events but may only compete
in 3 individual events. The meet will be governed by USA
swimming rules.
The meet is conducted as prelims/finals for ALL
age groups except for the 06-Unders. The top 18 qualify for
the "finals" which are held in 2 sessions on Saturday. Awards
are given for the Top 3 Teams within each Division; Top 3 High
Point swimmers in each age group; participant plaques
distributed to all swimmers entered in the meet; and place
plates awarded to the Top 18 individual & relay
finishers. Entry forms are available below and the entry
deadline will be Tuesday, July 06th,

Listed below TBA the "psych sheet" for the 2010 HYCAT
Tyler Moun-tain Water Company City Swim Meet to be held Wed-Sat,
Jul 21st-24th @ UC. This "psych sheet" includes ALL entries
received as of Thu, Jul 15th @ 6:00PM. Any entries received
after that time will be added after the last heat of each event or
as "space available." Changes will only be made if the HYCAT
Swimming Office made the error/mistake. Any other change will
be considered either a "late" or "deck" entry.
