The HYCAT
Swimming Program’s TAP Program (Travel Assistance Program)
was developed to assist members of the HYCAT "Competitive" Program
to help defray some of the costs associated with attending swim
meets that have been designated as "HYCAT TAP Meets." The
HYCAT swimmers, and their parents, attend a mandatory
meeting held at the start of the HYCAT Fall Swimming Season in late
August where the HYCAT TAP Program is explained and handouts are
distributed.
HYCAT swimmers that wish to participate in the HYCAT TAP
Program will be required to work at various HYCAT
functions/activities to earn "credits/points" towards the meets
that they wish to attend. Some of the activities are the
HYCAT Stroke Clinic/Camp; HYCAT Novice Meets; working @ the HYCAT
sponsored meets throughout the year; and various other
jobs.
