Profit Sharing Opportunity for the right Candidate; Otherwise, $1100-$1500/mo, DOE

Learn to Swim Director Wanted - Northern Lights Swim Club (NLSC) is accepting resumes for Director for it's Learn to Swim and Stroke School program. The program runs at Service Pool. The Director operates the swim lesson and stroke school programs including:  

  • hiring, firing, certification, and supervision of staff
  • advertising, public relations, and promoting the program
  • communications with staff and clientele
  • adhering to the curriculum and providing high quality instruction

The time commitment will roughly break down into:

  • 6-7 hours a week of on deck Program Director related duties
  • 5-6 hours a week of Program Director administrative duties

Supervisory experience is preferred, as is experience and/or knowledge of competitive swimming and swimming lessons. Applicant should be energetic, enthusiastic, firm but fare, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. The position will be filled by someone who is able to work well and communicate with lesson staff, students, parents, coaching staff, and facility staff.

This position is part-time, but has opportunity to expand beyond it's current parameters. All applicants must pass a background screening check.

ASSISTANT SWIM COACH NEEDED ASAP!

 

Wasilla Waves Swim Club is actively looking to hire an assistant part-time coach.  The successful candidate must have a competitive swim background and knowledge of all strokes and turns.  Coaching experience preferred but not required.  The candidate must also enjoy working with children, work independently, motivate the children and communicate with parents and head coach.  

 

The successful candidate must also be willing to become Lifeguard certified, USA Swimming certified, and complete coaching requirements. 

 

The candidate for this part-time position must have availability to work varied hours and days; typically M-F 3:00 pm to 7:30pm (an average of 3-5 hours per week, no more than 10 hours). 

There also may be occasional weekend travel involved for swim meets.

 

Pay is DOE but will start at $15.00/hr and will be re-evaluated at 90 days.

The Haines Dolphins Swim Team is actively seeking applicants for a part-time Head Coach, to begin duties August 15, 2020. We are looking for an enthusiastic coach who can make swimming fulfilling and relevant for both competitive and recreational swimmers. 

 

Successful applicants will have: a competitive swimming background (preference will be given to those with coaching experience and current USA Swimming Association certifications); computer skills; and be able to work independently, motivate and communicate well with swimmers as well as parents, and have experience in conflict resolution and childhood development.

 

A successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and able to work independently and also within dynamic situations. An ability to implement a drylands program is critical for older age-group simmers. Willingness to follow all current USA Swimming health mandates is a must. Our coaches not only train swimmers for competition, but also instill in them a strong work ethic, self discipline, sportsmanship, team work and good health habits.

 

The position is paid for a minimum of 25 hours a week and includes on average 20 travel days per season. The The HDST season runs from late August to mid-May.

 

Salary DOE, starts at $1850/mo. plus a $1500 successful-end-of-season-completion bonus. Opportunities to earn outside HDST include private swim lessons, stroke programs, a Masters program, and life guarding.
