FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
How
often should my child take swim lessons?
It is best to take lessons continuously throughout the year. This
can mean once a week during the school year and every day in the
summer, or twice a week throughout the year - the important thing
for good results is ongoing exposure.
How long does it take to learn to
swim?
The average 6-12 year old
child takes approximately 30 hours of swimming lessons before
he/she can swim freestyle one length of the pool consistently and
confidently. Keep in mind that this is only an average. For adults
who are just learning to swim it usually takes approximately 20
hours.
