Welcome NOVA alumni
Nova Alumni Magazine
It’s time to reconnect. You began the process that
made our program one of top age group teams in
the United States. Since you left, NOVA has
changed dramatically. In December of 2005 we opened the doors
to new 10 lane pool adjacent to the pool that your parents
helped build in 1996-97. Since those
early days, NOVA has grown from 200 swimmers to over 600.
Gaining access to our own water greatly accelerated our steady
development. Since the year 2000, we have won every senior
and age group championship we have chosen to contest. The tradition of dedication and hard work established by
all of you during those very early years of our program made
possible NOVA’s current success. The financial and personal
sacrifices made by you and your parents fueled NOVA’s swift
ascent to the upper echelons of US Swimming and its current status
as a Gold Medal
club.
Reconnect? Our goal is to produce an
Alumni Newsletter to be mailed out at least twice a year and to
offer opportunities for all of you to get together and reflect on
your years spent swimming at NOVA. For us to get the
newsletter out to all of you, however, we need a better list of
addresses. What we have now is either your parents’
address or an address that is no longer current. That goes
for e-mail addresses as well. For those that swam prior to
2000 we have no e-mail contacts for any of you. In the alumni
section of the team web-site, we have attached the contact
information that we have available. We need your help making
this list current. Please review our alumnilist. If you see missing names or outdated contact
information, please e-mail us at novaalumni@comcast.net so we can update our records. The first addition of the
NOVA alumni newsletter is complete and can now be viewed on our
site. We will also mail a copy to those addresses we
have. We hope that you will enjoy this new venture and will
be encouraged to reconnect with those special friends who can truly
appreciate what it meant to swim at
NOVA.

ideas for future Alumni topics, please feel free to contact us.
Pictures are very welcome. We always look forward to a bright
future here at NOVA, but we have begun to think that it is time to
celebrate an equally bright past. We ask that you join us once
again. No AM practices, no doubles, no 200 fly on this second
NOVA journey.
