DUNDEE DOLPHINS SCRIP
PROGRAM
SCRIP is a fundraising program which has been set
up as a benefit to swim team families to help defer some of the
team fees as well as providing a portion for team profit without
ever going door to door for fundraising. Scrip offers a variety of
merchant/gift cards from numerous retailers.
You can take the money you would normally spend
on weekly gas and groceries and conveniently convert it into profit
earnings that will help to defer some of your swim team costs. The
profit margin varies depending on the retailer, enclosed is a list
of all participating retailers and their discount
percentages.
Families will receive ~ a 95% profit of the
discount percentage and the team will receive ~ 5%. The profit is
NOT based on the total dollar amount you spend, it
is based on the discount percentage allowed by the individual
retailers. A SCRIP Order Form can be
downloaded to better calculate the actual profit earning you would
receive.
How the Scrip program will be utilized is as
follows:

Swim Team Families will be able to
take the profit they earn over the next six months and apply that
towards the cost of their Swim Team Fees for the 2010 Summer/Winter
Season.

Family accumulated profits
must be utilized before the last day of swim team open
registration. After that date, all unused family profits
will be transferred to the team account. Profit earnings can
only be applied to the summer season /winter season registration
during that time.

Families will get 95% of the
percentage discount profit minus a shipping fee per each order
period. Dundee Dolphin Swim Team will get a 5% of the percentage
discount profit on all orders.

The Dundee Dolphin Swim Team will
deduct the profit earnings directly from your registration form in
2009.

Swim Team Families DO NOT however
receive the profit earnings if they are not utilized to defer team
costs or if not used during the annual period. If families earn
more than swim team fees or if a family no longer swims for the
team, profit earnings will go directly to the team.

Profit earnings will be documented by
the Dundee Dolphin Scrip Program Director.

Merchant/Gift Cards cannot be
returned or exchanged; it is the same as purchasing them directly
from a retail store but with a bonus percent.

Some merchant/gift cards may have
restrictions, please refer to website www.glscrip.com for
a more detailed explanation of each vendor.
If a family of 4 routinely spends ~ $120/week on
groceries ($6240/yr) and $40/week ($2080/ yr) on gas; Utilizing the
Scrip program, if you were to convert that $6240 into jewel
certificates with a 4% percentage discount and the $1040 gas into
Marathon gift cards with a 3 % percentage discount = $249.60 plus
62.40 = $312.00, ~ 95% of that would yield a Swim Team Family ~ $
296 profit earning for the year & the team would receive ~
$15.60. That money was earned without ever asking anyone to buy
something from you.
