Missouri State
Aquatics offers training and practice groups for swimmers of
all ages and ability levels. It is our goal to offer age
specific training for all of our athletes geared towards
challenging each individual and developing each individual to the
best of their abilities.
Pandas 6-7:00
PM Monday-Thursday Coach:
Jordan Hawkins
The introductory group that
serves as the bridge from swim lessons to swim team. Swimmers
will focus on continuing to develop proper technique of the four
strokes with an emphasis on freestyle and backstroke. Proper
body position, kicking and stoke development are all a focus of
this group.
Cubs 7-8:00 PM Monday-Thursday Coach: Jordan

The second stage of the development phase will include stroke
technique of the four strokes as well as starts and
turns. Swimmers in this group will be introduced to the basics
of learning interval training with a goal of moving on to the age
group program.
Bruins
6-8:00 PM Monday-Thursday.
Friday & Saturday Coach: Alex Carney
Stroke drills are still a major
focus; however, swimmers become more exposed to
training. Along with stroke development of all four stokes and
emphasis on kicking, swimmers will also be exposed to dry-land
conditioning. Swim Meet preparation and strategy are
also introduced. Swim meet participation is strongly encouraged as
it is very important to the developmental progression of the
age group swimmer. This group allows age-group kids the opportunity
to become as serious about swimming competitively as they
desire.
Senior Bears

Friday & Saturday Coach: Dave Collins

on the number of practices swimmers in this group must attend,
however, their improvement will be based on
attendance.
