Our swim school program is a comfortable, non-pressure environment
where our “little feet” begin to develop a love for the
sport of swimming. It is a training ground for 8 & under
children who have not yet learned the legal execution of the 4
competitive strokes. Time is also spent on starts, finishes and
breathing techniques. When legal execution of the strokes has been
learned, the swimmer is then ready to transfer into one of the
JUNIOR LEVEL workouts.

SATURDAY AM WORKOUTS will not be available as a makeup for regular
workouts missed by swimmers. All make-ups must be done in regular
weekday workouts. JUNIOR LEVEL PM (12 & Under Age Group):
Continuous stroke work, as well as attention to starts, turns and
finishes is the rule for this age group. By the time the swimmer
reaches 11-12 years of age the training intensifies, (if the
strokes are solid and the swimmer is ready), with a continued
emphasis on stroke technique. Team social activities are greatly
encouraged. Participation in activities help the swimmer develop a
feeling of team “belonging”, which creates camaraderie
amongst the swimmers at USS winter swim meets. JUNIOR LEVEL AM:
This program is geared to those10-12 year old swimmers who want
more intensity and yardage in their training. While stroke
development is continual to this program, the emphasis is on
training and upper level age group meets. Practice times range from
3 to 5 hours per week.

workouts. Swimming in the senior a.m. program represents an added
commitment to more time in water, increased yardage and meets. It

on training not stoke development, except for continual stroke
refining.
