The Poulsbo Piranha Swimming offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Poulsbo Piranha Swimming to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Dry-Land
The first half hour to 45 minutes of practice is spent out of the pool doing a "Dry-Land" workout. This involves general body warm up and strengthening exercises which include body core work (abdominals/back/ribs), legs (running/stairs/jumps), and upper body (arms/shoulders/neck). These exercises dramatically improve the swimmers performance in the water as they develop the body strength and balance more quickly than pool work alone would.

Dry-Land is held outside when the weather is good and in the hallway above the pool when it is too cold or wet outside. Swimmers need workout clothes (shorts/t-shirt/sweats) and running shoes if they are going to participate in the dry-land portion of the workout.
