The Swim America franchise is registered with the America Swimming Coaches Association. This state of the art Learn-to-Swim programme is goal-driven and technique-oriented. The programme is operated by the station teaching method, where children are taught in small groups and moved to higher skill groups as they achieve the advancement goals of their present groups. A Swim America "Award of Achievement" is issued on completion of the 10 Stations, which indicates that the swimmer can swim 300m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, and 100m Individual Medley.
Adult Learn to Swim Group
Swift Swimming has recognized the interest and need for adults to learn to swim. It is never to late in life to learn this skill as we are seeing more and more retirees inquiring about lessons for exercise or to check off their Bucket List of things to do. Also, parents are realizing that they, as well as their children, need to learn to swim just from a safety perspective. St. Andrew’s pool is a great pool to learn in as the depth is no more than 3.5 – 4 feet allowing most adults to be able to touch the bottom whenever they wish. Swift recognizes that many Adults have stressful lives and therefore offer a pay as you go system for lessons.
