Introduction to Competitive Swimming:
Ever wonder what competitive swimming is like? Our coed day camp for developmental swimmers is the place to find out! Children ages 8-14 who want to become competitive swimmers will receive instruction in all four strokes, starts and turns, as well as learn the rules of competitive swimming. Campers will leave with an understanding of the swim team environment and the benefits of this lifelong sport.
Technique for Competitive Swimmers:
This camp is designed for current competitive swimmers who want to improve their technique for competitive success. Campers will get intensive technique instruction in all four strokes, starts and turns, including underwater videotaping and video analysis of top international swimmers. Campers will leave with an understanding of what it will take to reach the next level in the sport.
The Elite camp at Peddie will be designed for the serious swimmer who wants to learn the training methods of professional athletes and national team members. Utilizing current training principles, campers will experience new styles of workouts designed to help athletes advance their skill and improve their times. In the water each camper will be analyzed through customized video review which will provide an in-depth review of all four strokes. Outside of the pool, campers will be instructed in the areas of nutrition, strength training, and mental training to help create a well balanced athlete. Swimmers must have prior competitive experience and provide proof of current USA BB time standards or NJ Silver time standards. This camp is open to children age 10-18 and is limited to 25 spots!
