VOLUNTEERING

VOLUNTEERING
It truly takes a TEAM of volunteers to run the home meets we host throughout the year.  From hospitality to timing, from bullpen to officiating, we are very grateful to the parents that pitch in whenever they can.  Unlike other swimming clubs that REQUIRE families to help, or even collect money in lieu of volunteering, Team Millennium relies only on the spirit of service and support that exists in our swim community.  As always, we encourage all families to lend a hand and support your child's efforts by working the home meets, becoming a meet official (see below), or working the end-of-season banquet. Thanks for your continued commitment!

PARENTS NEEDED to BECOME NEW OFFICIALS!   HOW?
Are you tired of spending several hours on those rock-hard aluminum bleachers every time you attend a meet? - then consider becoming an Illinois Swimming official. Besides the volunteers that do the timing, concessions, cleanup, or bullpen, we could not run a meet without those parents that serve as starters and/or stroke judges.  Every swimming club needs a corps of officials, so Team Millennium is ALWAYS looking for volunteers interested in becoming entry-level officials.  Click here for more information from the Illinois Swimming website.
