The Bolles School Sharks High School Swimming

In 1951 The Bolles School Swimming and Diving team took home its first ever State Championship trophy under the guidance of legendary coach O.S. Garces. Fifty-seven years later the program continues to set the benchmark for championship swimming and sportsmanship in the state of Florida.

The Bolles Swimming and Diving Team has won more State Championships (30 for boys, 21 for girls) and more consecutive championships (20 for boys, 17 for girls) than any other team in the history of Florida swimming. The Bolles boys swimming team boasts more individual state champions than any team in the history of Florida swimming. The 2007 high school swimming season saw Bolles post an additional 20 individual All-American times.

The Bolles swimming program also boasts some of the best swimmers in the state who compete for different high schools in the Jacksonville area. Their success is just as important to the overall success of the Bolles Swimming and Diving program as those of Bolles High School swimmers. Their drive to improve affects all of the athletes on the Bolles roster, fostering a competitive atmosphere that requires sportsmanship and friendship amongst students who are both friends and competitors.
