Welcome to the
Condors Family! By joining the
Condors, your child has become a member of a team that is dedicated
to the physical and emotional growth of every swimmer. We want to
help your child become successful both in the pool and out, but to
do so we need your help.
IMX Scores
USA Swimming has developed the I.M. Xtreme
Challenge as a motivational program whereby swimmers will be scored
and ranked nationally by age on their performance in a combination
of five or six events. The purpose of the program is to
promote the event versatility that is integral to long term success
in swimming. Note: Swimmers do not receive a score until
they have competed in ALL IMX events for that age
group.

IMX Challange, click

Below are the event lists for each
group:

Butterfly
11-12: 200 IM, 400/500 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 100
Breast, 100 Butterfly
13-18: 200 IM, 400 IM, 400/500 Freestyle, 200

IMX Scores are a major factor in
USA Swimming’s evaluation and ranking of swim clubs
across the country. We will be judging our swimmers’ progress
based off these scores.

Opting-Out of
Meets:
We allow our parents to "opt-out" of swim
meets ahead of time to help save you all money. If you cannot
attend a particular event, it is your responsibility to opt your
swimmer out of that meet. We set opt-out deadlines based on when we
need to send our team entries to the host team of the meet. Once we
send in our entries, we have to pay for all our entries. If you do
not opt-out by the deadline for that meet, your child will be entered and your account will be
billed, as we have already paid the host team.
For detailed instructions on how to opt-out,
please click
here.
Meet
Volunteering:
Help from Parents is crucial to the success of
our program. Not only will it help the club but it also shows your
child that you support them and their sport. For more information
on the importance of Parent Volunteers, click
here.
We rely on
Parent Volunteers to make our home meets run efficiently. Each
family is required to supply 1 worker for each session a child
swims in. For a complete list of jobs and descriptions,
click
here.
Some jobs,
not necessarily during meets, require specific training,
pre-planning and greater time cimmitment. These jobs can satisfy
the volunteering requirement, after approval from the Club Service
Committee.
Fundraising:
Each swimmer
is responsible for doing $250 worth of fundraising. Families
with multiple children are responsible for $250 for the first child
and $50 for each child thereafter.
You and Your Condor:
Initially, the majority of children swim for approval from
their parents. As they develop, they begin to swim for the approval
of the coach and eventually swim for their own satisfaction. We ask
that you encourage your child and be his or her biggest fan,
unconditionally.
If
you trust our coaches, believe in your swimmer and commit to our program, together we can acheive
greatness.
