All SwimAmerica programs are run by
Professional Swimming Coaches who are dedicated to the sport &
science of swimming and are members of the American Swimming
Coaches Association.
Coach Jim Finley
SwimAmerica Program Director
 
Coach Jim Finley is the founder and prgram Director
of SwimAmerica Bay Shore, and Head Coach of the Bluefish Swim
Club. Coach Jim has been a professional swim coach for over 25
years and is an active Lifetime member of the American Swim Coaches
Association (ASCA) and certified WaterBabies Instructor. During
that time he has coached for the following organizations: Assistant
coach for the Central Islip HS Swim Team, Age-Group coach for the
Central Islip HS varisty Teams, Central Islip Aquatics, Age-Group
coach for the Long Island Express swim team, Head Coach of the
Hauppauge Sea Eagles and Head Coach of the Suffolk Masters swim
program. Still active in swimming, Jim is a member of the East End
Masters Swim Team. Coach Jim also is an active in Mountain Biking
and Triathlons.
Coach Kathy Finley
SwimAmerica Site Supervisor
Coach Kathy has been coaching swim lessons for over 10
years is a Lifetime member of the American Swim Coaches
Association (ASCA) and certified WaterBabies Instructor. Caoch
Kathy runs the day-to-day operations of the Swim School, coaches
and runs the internal training seminars at SwimAmerica.
Coach Catarina
Coach Catarina has been with SwimAmerica for 5
years and has been a great asset to our program. She works
well with the kids and provides a great balance between working
hard and having fun with the children!
Coach Grace
Coach Grace has been coaching young swimmers here
at SwimAmerica for 3 years. She has a great work ethic with
the children and has provided our program with many strengths and
smiles over the past couple of years.
Coach Lauren
Coach Lauren came to our program 2 years ago with
a great attitude and a desire to work with kids in the water.
Her teaching style is full of caring and attention to detail.
She works very well with the children and produces many personal
achievements with her classes.
