The USA Swimming and USAT Carpet Capital Aquatics Club will host
the first annual Dalton Youth Tri. The Club has many active
triathletes that wanted to bring the love of their sport to more
kids in the N Georgia, SE Tennessee and NW Alabama area.
There are three divisions to choose from based on distances and
age groups. Kids can choose any division, but awards will be given
to the top three finishers in each division based on the age groups
indicated. $45 pre-registration, $55 day of race.
Jr division - (8 - under) 8:00am start; 50 meter swim, 1 mile
bike, .5 mile run
Intermediate division - (9 - 12) 8:45am start; 150 meter swim, 4
mile bike, 1 mile run
Sr division - (13-17) 10:00am start; 300 meter swim, 8
mile bike, 2 mile run
Race pre-registration via active.com, or registration form can
be downloaded from the documents section of our web site and
printed, completed and returned with payment to a CCAC coach or
mailed.
Race day registration and transition opens at 7:00am. Event is
at the Dalton Recreation Center, 904 Civic Drive, Dalton, GA
30721.
There will also be a clinic for those interested in training and
learning more about triathlon. Veteran triathlete and CCAC Coach
George News will be doing six days over two weeks leading up to the
triathlon. More details and registration form can also be found in
the documents section of our web site.
*Any race may be canceled due to severe weather
or conditions that may effect the availability of the pool or
course that we use for our races. We don’t anticipate
either of these situations happening but in these cases we will
reschedule the race for another date and use your registration
money toward that event. Scheduled make up date is August
8th. p>
