Listed below are some of the many positive comments sent to us by members of the Marlins....

"I have never seen my son so excited to go to practice everyday!  I am amazed at the change in him and he comes home and shares his experiences with us every night.  I have no doubt that this positive energy will be reflected in his performance this year.  Thanks so much to the entire Marlins coaching staff."

" Although my daughter will not be swimming at the YMCA until the Greenwich High School season ends, I have to tell you how much I appreciate your constant communication.  It’s really nice to know about everything that is happening and so glad that your philosophy embraces a positive attitude!  Thanks for all."

"I love the new team focus on being positive.  I presently have two children on the Marlins.  They are not superstars by any means, but absolutely love to swim.  They are both at the point in their swimming careers where a coaches attention, or lack there of, could make all the difference.  Every time I visit the pool, I find our coaches in motion, giving feedback and encouragement to all.  I can’t thank the YMCA enough for their vision and new approach.  My children are absolutely thrilled and, of course, so am I.

"I am very, very pleased with the new dry land training program. I am not a swimmer, but I do read. Most of the swimming websites I visit tout the benefits of dry land training. My daughter swam for another local team previously and they did little or no dry land. I would like to thank the Marlins Coaching Staff for their excellent effort.  I know my daughter loves it and can really feel the benefits."

"Competent, experienced, dedicated, punctual, informative, friendly-simply the BEST!  Our Senior swimmer and we, parents, have nothing left to wish.  Thank you to all Marlins and dry land coaches!"

"I just wanted to say that I think (the idea of supporting our high school girls at their meet this Friday) is a wonderful idea! You are re-creating the real team spirit that the Marlins used to have. My daughter was amazed and so thrilled when she learned that her team were coming to support her. Thank you!"

"I know I’m a total nerd, but for some reason your email regarding the Marlins support for the Greenwich High School Swim Meet, this Friday, brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for being such a neat guy - this really is a big deal to our girls.  Last year we lost and it was their first dual meet loss in years.  Thanks again."

"I would like to say that this year as it stands has been a great experience for my daughter.  This will be her third year on the Marlins.  The first year we were completely lost.  We did not know what to sign her up for or where she should be.  We learned by ourselves as we went along.  This year we had our first Novice Intersquad Meet and I was so impressed on how it was handled.  The coaching staff explained before the meet started what was to be expected and then a parent representative told us the parents side of the meets and what to expect.  I only wish that someone had told us this when we started.  As I watched the children swim and saw the fun that my daughter was having interacting with the kids on the bleachers it warmed my heart.  When I saw her swim I thought wow....  she has improved.  I would like to say thank you to the staff for making this year informative and a great fun learning experience for my daughter.  My Hat goes off to you........"

"Coach Connie loves all of her swimmers and wants the best for each and every one of them, as swimmers, teammates, and people. Thanks Connie, we love you!  It is also great to see the coaches working together to make the team a success. Thank you."

"What a great idea to have an away meet in a place like Baltimore . It was great for the kids and for the parents. The swimming was great and the camaraderie at this 11/12 age is remarkable. Also, while most coaches would be entitled to have some free time away from the kids, ours wanted to stay with us. We are so very lucky to have Jonathan and Connie, special people helping us to build special people. Thank you."

"Jeremy has been wonderful with our son and we are so impressed with his teaching skills and his relationships with both kids and parents. He goes above and beyond with these kids, not only making them better swimmers but also giving them positive feedback and helping them feel good about their swimming. He has taken the time to really get to know our son as a person, and motivates him to reach new goals. The time he has taken and the personal interest he has shown makes all the difference. Jeremy’s enthusiasm about this sport is contagious and the Marlins are SO lucky to have him!"

"My daughter was in your dry land class this morning and she loved it! she hopes to see you next week=)"
