Swim Group

TRITON Swimming offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of TRITON Swimming to offer age-specific training for all of our athletes, geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of his or her abilities.

Bronze Group  

This group will be designed for swimmers 8 years of age and younger.  The primary emphasis of the group is to continue on all techniques of the four competitive strokes, starts and turns.  The group also starts the introduction of aerobic level swimming.
 

Silver Group 

This group will be designed for swimmers 9-10 years of age.  The emphasis of this group is still on stroke mechanics, with the addition to basic interval training and continual aerobic development
  

Gold Group

 This group will be designed for swimmers 11-12 years of age.  The emphasis of this group is still on stroke mechanics, with the addition to basic interval training and continual aerobic development.  Additional goals will be to see continued improvement with stroke technique and training in preparation for moving to the Age Group Performance Team. 


Age Group Performance 

This group will be for swimmers 11-14 years of age.  This group consists of the most experienced Age Group swimmers and places emphasis on serious training for competition.  This group starts evaluation of aerobic and strength training and further prepares the swimmer for entrance into the senior level of the program.


Pre-senior 
 

This group is designed for the swimmer 12 years of age and above.  This group is designed to continue educating the swimmer on the basics of competitive swimming and develop confidence with techniques and the development of the swimmers aerobic capacity. 


Senior III

The emphasis of this group is still on stroke mechanics with the addition of more complex interval training and continual aerobic development.  Additional goals will be to see continued improvement in training and develop the confidence necessary for moving toward the Senior II level.

Senior II  

The group will have progressions in training physiologically and psychologically to compete at the state level.  Additional goals will be to see continued improvement with stroke mechanics and training in preparation for moving toward the Senior I Level.


Senior I  

This group constitutes the highest level within the TRITON team structure.  The group will have progressions in training physiologically and psychologically to compete at the highest level in preparation for the Sectional/National levels.
