Group 1
This group is actually two groups in one. The first group is
where the least experienced swimmers are brought up to a basic team
swimming level. Individual attention is constant. The four strokes
(fly, back, breast and free) are introduced so that the swimmers
have the basics of the strokes as part of their skill set. The
second part of Group 1 extends the abilities of the swimmer to be
able to correctly perform the four strokes while building
endurance. One of the primary goals of Group one is to keep the
swimmer in the water by making swimming fun. Time is allotted to
activities such as playing games and jumping off of the diving
boards. Workouts last one hour.
