Head Diving Coach Deb Shelton has been involved in springboard diving for over 30 years, as a competitive diver and as a coach. Deb is from Pennsylvania and competed in swimming as well as diving in high school and college, advancing to Nationals in both. After a hiatus from the sport to work alongside her husband, Deb has been coaching high school diving and directing diving camps in the Seattle area since 2006. She is currently the assistant swim coach and diving coach for the Inglemoor Vikings. Deb also coaches the Bothell Cougar boy divers and is USA Diving Safety certified.
Deb's philosophy is safety first, followed by fun and fundamentals. "Most kids wind up jumping, diving or throwing themselves off the board in some capacity, and not always safely, which is why I enjoy teaching diving to beginners and all skill levels so they learn proper diving fundamentals that will keep them safe and give them a great start if they decide to join a dive team in the future."
