The Summer Ducks Swim Team was formed in 1996. During our first year we had 42 swimmers participate at the Shasta College pool. This past year we had 156 swimmers while utilizing three different facilities. We have nine staff members including Redding Swim Team staff, high school coaches, Shasta College coaches and current college swimmers to pass on their knowledge.  

Our fun and exciting summer swimming program is an introduction to competitive swimming. We provide strong fundamentals and skills in an enthusiastic environment! This is the perfect opportunity for those first time swimmers that want to experience a new sport or high school swimmers getting ready for their upcoming season.

We provide an atmosphere where each individual has the opportunity to learn about the sport of swimming while instilling a sense of confidence and self-esteem.

We promote our program through the Bella Vista, Cascade Union, Columbia, Enterprise, Gateway, Grant, Happy Valley, Junction, Millville, North Cow Creek, Pacheco Union, Redding, and Shasta Union School Districts.  Overall we have students from 39 public schools and three private schools that participate in the Summer Ducks Swim Team.
