Community Aquatic Center-KCAC

The majority
of our work outs are conducted at the KCAC, located at 75-5557
Kuakini Highway near the Old Airport park. With Mount
Hualalai ( an 8100 ft dormant volcano last active in the early
1800’s) on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, the
KCAC is an outstanding aquatic center that has been the host for
both international as well as national and local
competitions. We are very thankful to the Department of Parks
And Recreation- County of Hawaii, for allowing us access to the
beautiful KCAC facility.
The
facilities include a 50 meter pool with a dividing bulkhead,
allowing for diverse use of the pool venue. It also includes
a "Toddler pool" for kids 5 yrs. and younger, with
adult supervision. There are Men and Women Locker Rooms (bring your
own lockers for extra protection) equipped with showers and ample
changing area. It is conveniently located close to a series
of other sport venues of the Kona communtiy including the Kailua
Gym, soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and the
beautiful Old Airport Park.
The deck
area has a considerable amount of shade with covered bleachers on
the Mauka side of the facility. There is plenty of
parking,although Saturdays can be pretty hectic during soccer and
baseball seasons. At present there is no charge for public
swimming. For updated pool schedules, times and any questions
regarding the KCAC please call 327-3500 to speak with any of their
friendly staff.
Please help keep our facility clean by encouraging the
kids to always shower prior to entering the pool and by NOT eating
