Senior Coaches Report - Paul Lundsten

It has been a year of frustration with the coaches of the Minnesota LSC.� There is great apathy on our parts to do anything that stems outside of our own worlds as individual clubs.

There are exceptions.

The Zone Coaching Staff

The ASCA MN group that meets once a month

The coaches who attend the monthly MSI meetings

It is sad when the full time coaches of the Minnesota LSC will not work to protect the very thing that provides for their livelihood.�

The back breaker was the voting for the Coaching Staff of the Year at the state meet.� When only 11 out of 50 teams were willing to take the 5 minutes to place a vote that could have meant the world to the deserving coaches that won.

I hope this next year will bring participation from all.� I hope that coaches get mad at the truth I have written and will get up and do something about it.

No team, no coach, no parent, has a right to complain about what MSI does or USA Swimming does, if they will do nothing to be involved it what is going on in Minnesota and the world of swimming.
