Dear Barracudas Families,

Hopefully you enjoyed our meet in Davis last week. It for sure was very different for our swimmers to swim in the dark and in unusual cold weather. Looks like we will have much warmer temperatures this week. Please read below for some information about the meet against the Gators this Saturday.

Details about our next meet against the GB Gators on Saturday:

·          Sign in will be between 7:00 and 7:15

·          Warm Up will start at 7:35 sharp

·          Our team will be outside the pool deck on the grass area by the bear and by the gym. There will be speakers installed.

·          Heat order will be slowest to fastest

·          Only the fastest heat (8 lanes) will score

·          Order of event is different than at our dual meet: We will be starting with the IM, followed by the 6 and under relays and Medley relays. The rest of the events will be as we know it (short free, back, long free, breast, fly and free relays)

·          Our 9/10 group will be swimming 200 free relay instead of 100 free relay.

·          First 6 relay teams score points

Message from our Championship Chairperson Jim Sloan:

Championship Program Advertisement

You can now place your order for an advertisement in the Comstock Championships program.  There are many options to choose from starting w/ a full page for $300 ranging to a horizontal business card size for $30.  With the championships in Roseville this year, local businesses may benefit more from the ads then in years past.  Orders need to be turned in to the league by July 9th so if you’re interested, please act fast.  You can find the order form and ordering instructions on the team website: Go to the ‘Swim Meets’ drop down menu and select ‘Championship’.  If you have any questions, direct them to Jim Sloan ( jcsloan@surewest.net)

Sign up for volunteer shifts will be available at our next swim meet.

Message from our Social Chairperson Karen McDonald:

Please keep your eyes out and check the social calendar for more social events to come. The next event is the Barracuda Family Fun Night scheduled on July 8th. More details will come but there will be fun events for 6 and under all the way to 15-18's or even us parents. We have added a new social event just for the 15-18's- "Get Hyped for Champs Shave Down Pizza Party" scheduled on July 16th at the club. More details to follow.
