Dear Barracudas Families,
We are very excited to host our first dual meet of the season at our pool. This will be a great meet against Rio del Oro. We realize that our last meet in Elk Grove hit a few bumps during the early events and we are committed to make this meet go as smooth as possible. Our webpage has been updated with meet entries and a preliminary program (both subject to changes). Relay entries will be posted also as soon as they become available. Please keep in mind that our swim meets are a team effort and it takes an army of volunteers, our great coaches and of course all of the fabulous swimmers to be in the right spot at the right time to make it all work.

Webpage updates: We are constantly working on improving our webpage. In the past days we have updated our team statistics and our swim meet information. You will have now easy access to meet entries, preliminary programs, top times, MOC qualifiers, etc. Certain areas will be password protected and you will have to be signed in to the webpage to access the information. If you need help accessing restricted areas or have any question regarding the usage of the webpage please feel free to ask. You can set the password to something easier to remember than the default password that was given to you at the beginning of the season. Also if you have any suggestions on how we can make our webpage even better then send us an email or see us at the pool deck.
Message from our Social Chairperson Karen McDonald:
This Saturday at our Rio meet JRRC will have a coffee truck on the pool
deck serving espresso drinks starting at around 6:15am. How great will
this be to not have to leave the club or leave earlier to get your
Starbucks or Peets coffee, we will have it there.
Please also mark your calendar for our “Barracuda Family Fun Nightý,
scheduled for Wednesday, July 8th. More details to follow.
Your social committee Message from our Secretary Tammy Tattersall:
Picture day will be on June 17th in the morning. There will
be no swim practice that day. More information will follow.
Message from our Volunteer Chairperson Lisa Gulino :
Hi Barracuda Families! Just a reminder to have your swimmer to
their age group tent at least 2 events before their
race. Parents are not allowed in the ready bench area, so that the area
remains clear for the swimmers and ready bench volunteers. We
encourage all swimmers to come and hang out in the age group tents with
their fellow teammates to play games, do an activity and just talk to
get to know each other better. Ideas to bring to the tent are a
sleeping bag or blanket, a game/toy or an activity. It is a fun
place to be!
Message from our Spirit Chairperson Michelle Mefford: Did you hear the bell ring? Congratulations to all swimmers that worked their hardest and got a “Personal Bestý at last week’s swim meet. If a swimmer beats their best time during an event, come over and ring Coach John’s cow bell! It is located at the “Personal Bestý corner on the swim deck. A swimmer can sign their name, event and new time on the “Personal Bestý poster and pick up a red bead for their lanyard. The poster will be displayed the following week and a swimmer or family member can locate their official results on the Barracuda website under “Meet Resultsý!
Good job Barracudas! Fast arms, fast feet,
Barracudas can’t be beat!
Message from our Fundraising Chairperson Lori St.Denis and Anissa Konieczny : We have ordered more JRRC Barracuda caps. They will be available at the Barracuda Wear table in the morning.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors:
