Dear Barracudas Families,

It was great seeing most of you at Time Trials. Our kids had an amazing day with many great races. We couldn’t have asked for better weather to start our meet season. We are off to a great season with our dual meets coming up now.

If you are a new parent on the team and have questions about the upcoming meets please feel free to contact any board member and we are more than happy to help you.

Rio Invitational update (May 16th)

There are still spots available for the Rio Invitational Meet. Here are the ways you can still sign up:

1)     Email me name, age group and events by Friday morning (steffi@paddington-times.com) and have the check ready on Saturday morning or

2)    Deck entries on Saturday morning at the check in table at the Rio Racket Club.

If you get your entries in by tomorrow morning then your swimmer will most likely still be seeded by entry time, if you chose deck entry your swimmer will swim in an empty heat. Please see the event tab for the Rio Invitational on our homepage for more information on the meet itself.

Message from our Spirit Chairperson Michelle Mefford:

Barracuda beads will be available for sale this Friday at TGIF. We will have Buddy Beads, Good Luck Beads, Buddy Pops and treats to give to your swimmer’s buddies.  This is great idea for siblings, parents or anyone else to get them for the swimmers. A thank you to Ron Woodhouse for rushing to Coach John’s house to get the cowbell at TimeTrials. We were so happy to have the bell for the kids to celebrate their personal best times.

Message from our Social Chairperson Karen McDonald:

Our 13 and up swimmers met on Thursday for their pizza social. We hope that you all had a great time.

Message from our Volunteer Chairperson Lisa Gulino:

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all the people "who stepped-up and went beyond" for
filling in positions at Time Trials, adding an extra shift to their already fulfilled volunteer shift or working shifts even with their own swimmers not present due to highschool obligations.
