What is Delta Aquatics?

Delta Aquatics was founded in 2004 by Oswego School District 308 and Oswego East High School.  Its purpose was to provide comprehensive aquatics programming to the Oswegoland and surrounding communities.  The cornerstones of our programming are the Learn to Swim Program, Diving Academy, and the Competitive Swim Team.  All of these programs are focused on giving its participants the skills necessary for a lifelong enjoyment of aquatics activities. Each program is endorsed by the highest accredited organization in its field.  By workng with the most reputable national organizations we guarantee that each program will offer only the highest quality activities.

Learn to Swim School

Since 2006 over 3,000 swimmers have participated in our Learn to Swim program at the Oswego East Pool.  We proudly utilize the SwimAmerica curriculum which is the finest learn to swim program available.  Created by the American Swim Coaches Association, these lessons are the only lessons which focus not only on the child learning to swim but learning to swim correctly.  Proper technique can ensure that a swimmer can swim longer distances or for longer periods of time.

In addition to our ASCA certified site-supervisor, each instructor has also completed a SwimAmerica training course and participated in many hours of instructional training.  This guarantees a continuity in teaching methodology and expectations guaranteeing your child a consistent learning experience throughout the various levels.  In addition to the many hours of training, many of our instructors are competitive swimmers themselves.  Swimmers in our Learn to Swim Program are not only being taught the best curriculum in the nation but they are also being taught by some of the best swimmers in the nation.  The personal and technical knowledge that our instructors give to our swimmers only enhances the swimmers experience.

Competitive Swim Team

Delta Aquatics is proud to be a member of USA Swimming, the national governing body for competitive swimming in America.  With over 300,000 swimmers, USA Swimming is one of the largest competitive organizations in the nation.  Delta Aquatics is also affiliated with Illinois Swimming Inc.  which is our local swimming organization.  In order to be members of these organizations, our coaching staff must have completed the many educational requirements.  Many of our coaches are ASCA level 3 certified which puts them in the top 15% of all coaches in the country when it comes to their coaching education and accomplishments.  Our swim team has experienced continued growth and success since it was developed and has a reputation of excellence in the local swimming community.  Our team competes in a variety of meets ranging from dual meets with other local clubs all the way to the USA Swimming National Championship meets.  Whether your swimmer is a beginner or a National Elite swimmer, he or she will be working with a highly qualified instructor who will help your swimmer excel.  if you would like to learn more about our Competitive Swim Team please click here.

Delta Aquatics Diving Academy

Since its beginning, the Delta Aquatics Diving Academy's objective has been to provide the people in the Oswegoland area opportunities to get involved in the sport of diving. The Delta Aquatics Diving Academy's philosophy at the age group level is simple and straightforward --provide each diver with the skills and fundamentals he or she needs to be the best diver he or she can be, in a fun, positive environment.

Our training methods are based on Coach Provost's many years of experience in the sport. The focus on skills and fundamentals allow the Delta Aquatics coaching staff to provide an elite level of coaching for young age group divers of any skill or experience level. Our coaching staff combines relevant dry-land practices with the skills and fundamentals on the board to optimize each diver's growth and potential.

Perhaps most importantly, our coaching staff's positive and supportive attitude offers each diver the opportunity to develop at his or her own pace in a relaxed, yet successful setting.

  • New Members from within the school district*
  • New Members out of the school district*
