About CYRA

The Cleveland Youth Rowing Association (CYRA) is a co-ed junior rowing club. Our athletes strive for excellence on the water and in the classroom. Our team is made up of young men and women from several Cleveland area high schools from Avon to Strongsville to Mentor.

CYRA competes with scholastic high school and club teams alike from the powerhouse Midwest Region, which spans across ten states, culminating in a trip to the Midwest Junior Rowing Championship Regatta each May.

CYRA has sent and will continue to send delegates in one, two, four, and eight-oarsman boats to compete for Midwest Junior Championship titles and the qualifying places for the USRowing Youth National Regatta each June.

CYRA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing fun, team-oriented sports to the dedicated Cleveland youth and families that make it such an excellent piece of Cleveland’s distinct culture. Whether watching from Tower City, Shooters on the Water, the Nautica Pavilion, or enjoying a picnic at Settler’s Landing, rowing is always in the public eye in our fantastic city.
