Who Are We?

Milton Marlins is an Age Group team registered with USA Swimming, the governing body for competitive swimming in the United States. All club members must have a current USA Swimmer Membership in order to compete in sanctioned meets. All meets are sanctioned by Wisconsin Swimming, the local swimming committee (LSC).

We offer a year-round competitive swim experience for swimmers up to 18 years of age. We have a team of dedicated and knowledgeable USA Certified volunteer adult coaches that assist with practices and meets.

The USA Program is for athletes who already have a sound understanding of all four competitive strokes, racing starts and racing turns. In this division, more emphasis is placed on advanced skills and techniques and strong aerobic development. Swimmers will be expected to travel and compete in high-level meets, including the Wisconsin State Meet, for those with qualifying times. There are specific practice and meet attendance requirements for all USA swimmers, and swimmers must be prepared to fully commit.

Club Belief Statement

We believe in inspiring and empowering swimmers to achieve excellence in life through a positive competitive swimming experience.  We believe that the sport of swimming teaches fundamental life skills that extend beyond the pool.  Through coaching and instruction, we strive to develop the self-discipline, personal responsibility and personal excellence necessary for our athletes to realize their full potential in competitive swimming and beyond.

Our Coaching Philosophy

  • Continual, committed, planned progressive training is the only path to long-term success.

  • Aerobic development and maintenance with sound technique is the foundation for swimming achievement regardless of stroke or distance.

  • Communication between coach and swimmer, coach and parent, and swimmer and parent is paramount in goal-setting and goal achievement.
