The Glen Swim Team is for Glen
members aged 18 and younger. We do not have a minimum age
requirement for our swimmers as each child develops differently.
If you're not sure about your young child's ability to swim

Our team swims in 6 dual meets per
season, as well as the Farmington City Meet, several age-specific
mini-meets, and 2 end-of-season Championship meets. We also
plan a number of social events throughout the season, including
field trip, overnight sleepovers at the pool, pancake breakfasts
and spirit dinners.
Running a swim team takes a lot of
work. Therefore, all swim team families are expected to work
in a volunteer role throughout the season. Families who do
not meet this obligation will be charged a fee.
There are many different volunteer
positions available, requiring many different skills, both at meets
and behind the scenes.
Summer storms aren’t unusual. Practice
and meets will continue in rain, but in the event of lightning or
thunder, all swimmers and spectators must leave the pool and deck
area. During practice, Coach Drew generally moves swimmers to the
pavilion during rain delays. Every effort is made to hold practice.
If feasible, practice is delayed instead of canceled completely.
