Thank you for considering Tidal Wave Aquatics (TWA), North Carolina's newest year-round USA Swimming team based in Salisbury. TWA was founded by Michael Sever, Head Swimming Coach at Catawba College and Victoria Sever, Club Registrar.

One Week Trial Period

TWA offers a FREE one week trial period for any new swimmer. Swimmers can register online by choosing "1-Week Free Trial" as the group. Swimmers must also complete as USA Swimming Application. The one week trial is not valid for TWA camps or clinics.

Outreach Memberships & Scholarships

Outreach USA-Swimming memberships are available to qualifying participants. Outreach applicants must provide verification to USA Swimming annually that he/she is eligible for the Free/Reduced School Lunch, Food Stamps, Aid to Families with Dependent Children, Social Security Disability Insurance, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Supplemental Security Income, Women, Infant and Children’s Program, Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Plan, Section 8 Public Housing, Home Energy Assistance Program and other.

An Outreach USA Swimming membership is effective for one year. The cost $5 only covers the USA-S Membership only. TWA monthly swim fee will be charged to the swimmer. Outreach applications are strictly confidential. For more information, please contact Michael Sever (401-439-1441).

We love our volunteers! Any board-level volunteer or person interested in volunteering with USA Swimming, must be registered as a USA Swimming Non-Athlete member.

Year-round Non-Athlete Form
$64 for an individual; $118.00 for Family memberships (2 non-athletes living in the same household).

Swim Meet Fees

Meet entry fees are not included in your membership fees. Meet entry fees will be billed periodically throughout the season.

  • Typical meet entry fees range from $4–$5 per event. Some meets may have a swimmer participation fee ranging from $1-$20.
  • National, Sectional and all Championship meets are generally cost more than small local meets.
  • The coaching staff has total authority over choosing what events their swimmers swim.
  • USA Swimming rules do not allow a swimmer to exceed five events per day (excluding relays), Trials/Finals competitions USA Swimming rules do not allow swimmers to exceed three individual events per day (excluding relays).
  • You will only be charged for the events that the swimmer is entered in.
  • If your swimmer misses a race for whatever reason (illness, family emergencies etc.) the fees are non-refundable.

Membership Policies

  • You have read, understand, and agree to all TWA policies.
  • All monies must be paid in full before the swimmer(s) can register for the next season.
  • Refunds are not available unless approved by the Team Manager.
  • No Refunds for swimmers suspended by the TWA for disciplinary reasons.
  • Missed days are not subtracted from membership fees (including part. in High School Sports)
  • A $25 charge will be assessed for all returned checks.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admittance to practice due to excessively delinquent fees.
  • We reserve the right to deny entrance to those athletes with outstanding balances into additional meets until their account has been paid in full.
  • Member states they have reviewed our delinquent account policies.
  • Member has reviewed, understands, and agrees to uphold the anti-bullying policies.
  • Member has reviewed, understands, and agrees to uphold the electronic technology policies.
  • If a swimmer has to be sent home from a Travel trip for disciplinary reasons, parents agree to cover immediate transportation costs to send the athlete home.
  • TWA Anti-Recruiting Policy: TWA members shall not initiate contact with another USA Swimming member with the intent to recruit members.
