About SwimPAC

PAC Swim Team fosters a positive environment for children and adolescents to learn how to "Win with Class and Lose with Grace" and above all, enjoy the journey. Our core values are courtesy, integrity and indomitable spirit.

Pelican Athletic Club Swim Team (PAC) is a USA Swimming Club Recognition Level 3 program. Level 3 is the second highest level and there are only four other teams in Louisiana with this distinction. For more info on Club Recognition program, scroll down.  We offer seasonal programming and swim programming 12 months per year. The USA-S competitive team has tripled in size since July of 2012 and swimmers have broken over 40 individual team records and almost 10 relay records.  In addition to the USA-S team, our pr ograms include beginner lessons; pre-competitive swim classes; seasonal teams (fall, spring & summer); and Adult Competitive Programming.

PAC is also home to the Fontainbleau High School, St. Paul's High School, Hannan High School, and Northlake Christian Swim teams. All 4 schools feature athletes who finish in the top 8 for their respective LHSAA classifications.  Fontainebleau  Boys' Team finished the 2013 season as the top public school team in Louisiana.

The ultimate objective of the program is to strengthen the club system in USA Swimming by guiding clubs through a development process that ultimately positions the program and its coaches to better serve athletes.

The Club Development Committee looked at many different factors that helped create "great" clubs. The committee grouped all of the factors into four major component areas:

  1. Business & Organizational Success
  2. Parent & Volunteer Development
  3. Coach Development & Education
  4. Athlete Development & Performance
