Our team is a year round
competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching
and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of
our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve
swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability,
from novice to international competitor.
All of our coaches, as
members of the Canadian Swimming Coaches Association, have access
to the most comprehensive training and certification program for
youth coaches of any sport in Canada and United States. They
provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be
quality time.
We are a non profit club,
is run by its elected Board of Directors which meets each month.
All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be
involved in team activities and fundraiser.
CANADIAN TIRE JUMPSTART PROGRAM
One in three Canadian families
cannot afford to enrol their kids in organized sports and
physical activity (Vision Critical, 2011) which means many kids are
missing out on the benefits that come with organized play. Canadian
Tire Jumpstart is a nationally registered charity dedicated to
removing financial barriers so kids across Canada have the
opportunity to get off the sidelines and into the game.
Whether it’s the chance to try a sport for the very first
time or to continue with a favourite physical activity,
Jumpstart makes it possible for all kids to participate. We see it
as equipping kids for life because quality physical activity in
kids does more than improve health and well-being. It helps build
confidence, leadership, productivity and creativity.

WHY KIDSPORT?
By providing kids with an
opportunity to participate in sport programs, KidSport
encourages:
- developing early physical
activity habits that will help increase the probability that kids
will remain active in adulthood
- getting kids active in sport
programs when they are young to develop a strong and healthy
community for the future
- helping to create these
opportunities for sport participation and playing a significant
role in supporting many under-represented families in Canada facing
economic obstacles
