SwimAmerica was developed by the American Swim
Coaches Association by elite coaches as the most effective way for
children and adults to learn to swim.
SwimAmerica specializes in providing quality
swim lessons to all participants. Monterey County Aquatic Team has
built and sustained
SwimAmerica lessons based on quality
programming, instruction, and results. It is based on ten
structured levels with attainable goals for each student. All
employees are SwimAmerica trained and American Swim Coaches
Association Level 1 certified.
Your first SwimAmerica
lesson:
1. Please come 10-15
minutes early so that your child can be ready for their lesson on
time; the lesson will start promptly at the designated
time.
2. All your child
will need is their swimsuit and towel.
3. We do not
prohibit children from wearing goggles. If you would like to
purchase goggles, we carry an assortment at the pool. Price Range
is $12-$20
4. We do not require
children to wear a swim cap. If you would like to purchase a cap,
we carry silicone SwimAmerica caps for
$10/each.
5. Parents and
child(ren) are responsible for bringing their own towels and
sunscreen.
6. We ask that
siblings be kept near their parent. Our lifeguards need to focus
their attention on the pool and not a child running on the pool
deck.
7. Remind your child
that swim lessons are for fun and safety!
